An antique Belleek China sugar bowl made in Ireland between 1891 - 1926. It is decorated with shamrocks in green and their stems in brown. The china is light parian ware typical of old Belleek and it is glazed on the outside and has a wonderful lustre on the inside. The brown edge to the rim of the sugar bowl denotes the branch - an equivalent to the handle on the matching jug also for sale here - and it is unglazed. The mark is from the 2nd Period showing the date of manufacture as above.
