This is a wonderful old Belleek basket in the shape of a shamrock. It was made with 4 strands of weaving and has 3 beautiful hand-made delicately coloured rosebuds and leaves around the edge. The rope edge rim and inside rim to the base is a pale blue. There are also 3 tiny green flowers placed half-way between the roses.

The mark on the strip on the base of the basket is for the years 1955 - 1979 (the photo of the mark looks yellow - bad photography!) but the delicate colouring on this piece would suggest that it was made in the late 1950's or early 1960's.

It is in perfect condition. The measurements are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and 2 1/2" high.

All these baskets came from a collection of one person and were wrapped up for years, hence the amazing condition.
