My name is Frances Spears and I have been in this business for almost 20 years. I run the business from a shop in Letterkenny and I would like to show you some of my stock. Sometimes it is easier to find something you like on a website rather than trying to see everything crammed into a small shop. Brief History

My mother, Teresa Spears, opened a wee antique shop in the front room of her home in Lifford, Co Donegal in 1981 on her retirement. Her eye for beautiful pieces drew people from far and wide and soon she opened up in shop premises in Strabane, on the banks of the river Mourne, hence the name – Mourne Antiques. She enjoyed her while in this business very much, and had great time for all who came to see her – whether to purchase one of her fine pieces, or just for a chat. Unfortunately, Mum passed away in late 1989 and I took over from her then. Mourne Antiques stayed in Strabane for a few years but moved to the more thriving town of Letterkenny in 1992 where it has been ever since.

We are situated in the centre of the town of Letterkenny, Co Donegal which is in the north west of Ireland. It is a town of around 20,000 people, but sitting in the midst of beautiful countryside with items of interest to be seen in all directions.
